How beautiful to find a heart that loves you, without asking you for anything, but to be okay.

I believe this small moment is absolutely darling. During this scene Rae’s internal monologue says,
"I’d forgotten. I’d forgotten there’s something in his lips. And no matter how crap my life was, no matter how much I I didn’t fit in at college, no matter what; when I had his lips, I had his kiss. And so long as I had that, I knew everything would be okay."
Finn is guarded, quiet, even surly for much of the first season and although he is seen playing football with others in “Don’t Ever Tell Anyone Anything,” his primary group of friends, and the only ones we truly see him interact with as though he enjoys their company, are the misfit toys we have all come to adore. From this episode we learn his parents separated at some point before he met Rae so like her, he’s from a single parent household. With this in mind one could argue a quick alteration of the pronouns could easily make this Finn’s inner monologue. This moment, this small moment which superficially allows for Chop to provide a little comedic relief, shows what we all know to be true, being with Rae has the exact same effect on Finn.
